What makes this jacket different from a regular jacket?
The Easeability Jacket features patent-pending handles on the front and back make it easier and more ergonomic for you to assist your loved one moving from one seat to another or to stabilize them while walking.
The thread and techniques that are used to secure the handles to the jacket are climbing grade and designed to be tough enough for the job anytime you need them.
They lay discreetly against the jacket so no one has to know they are there until they are in use to maintain the dignity of the wearer.

How do the handles work? Are they comfortable to grip?
The handles sit closely to one another on either side of the jacket to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. The weight of the lift distributes to your loved ones armpits for a safe and comfortable lift.
Can the handles support weight? How much can they hold?
The handles, thread, jacket material, and techniques used to attach them to one another are all designed after climbing gear with patent-pending design. They are currently estimated to be able to hold up to 1,000 pounds.
We do not recommend lifting anyone with our jacket that you haven't already assisted in another way. Caregiver safety is important and you know your limitations best.

Are the handles removeable/adjustable?
No. In order to ensure that they are securely attached to safely assist your loved one, we could not make them detachable.
What materials is the jacket made of?
The Easeability Jacket is made with a buttery soft cotton/poly blend that is also tough enough for the task of holding the handles on. The pockets are so soft that your hands won't ever want to leave.
How do I choose the right size?
In order for the handles to work optimally, you should seek a snug fit on your Easeability Jacket. Use the size chart attached here to measure the wearer and make sure you are ordering the perfect size.
Is the jacket designed for men, women, or unisex?
The Easeability Jacket is designed for women at this time. We are in the R&D process for the next few products in our line including a unisex vest, a men's jacket, and a unisex multi-functional jacket designed to cater to more of the unique needs of the disability community and those going through medical treatments and recovery.
How should I clean the jacket? Can I machine-wash it?
You bet you can! The Easeability Jacket is machine wash and dry-able, even with the magnetic zipper. Follow the instructions on the label when it arrives.
Are the handles safe for kids to use?
No, the handles aren't meant to be used by children. They are designed to make caregiving work easier on adult caregivers. While the Easeability Jacket is currently offered in women's sizes, the smallest size may fit an adolescent who has mobility limitations. This jacket could be worn my a minor, but using it to assist others should be done by someone who knows how to stay safe while doing so.
Who invented this jacket? What's the story behind it?
Joey Corasio is the inventor of The Easeability Jacket and founder of Lucky Dad Brands. When his mother was declining due to Alzheimer's he sought out a solution to help him care for her with more ease and couldn't find anything on the market that fit his needs. After speaking with other caregivers and finding they had similar struggles, he decided to be the change he wanted to see in the world and bring the jacket to market.
